Under 7/8’s Pershore V's Tewkesbury
Pershore
Pirates 6 - 3 Tewkesbury
A cold frosty morning on a hard pitch Pershore beat Tewkesbury
6 - 3, Tewkesbury worked hard but Pershore dominated for
most of the match.
Pershore Pirates 5 - 7 Tewkesbury
Tewkesbury
had a big lead in the first half, in the second Pershore
fought hard to come back. Both sides played some great rugby,
running with the ball and great tackling. A hard fought
match. Great to see so many parents on the touchlines cheering
both sides.

Under 10s Pershore V's Evesham & Tewkesbury
Pershore
welcomed Evesham and Tewkesbury to Piddle park on a frosty
yet sunny Sunday morning. Both sides brought with them a
strong vocal following.
First
up were Evesham, who were slow to start. Pershore were a
stronger side and took an early lead. With some good individual
performances, Pershore lead by three tries to nil at half
time.
The
second half was a different story. Evesham re-grouped and
played much better rugby, scoring two tries relatively easily,
leaving Pershore shell shocked. As the half wore on though,
Pershore managed to re-group and contain Evesham’s
more organised attacking play. As the game was drawing to
a close, Pershore managed to score a final late try to finish
the game off, winning 4 tries to two.
Pershore’s
second match was an altogether different story. Against
a side whom they had comfortably beaten earlier in the season,
Pershore found a much stronger, more organised Tewkesbury
side. They were quickly into their stride, scoring an early
try. Soon after, Tewkesbury scored a second, and could easily
have had two more, but for some brave defending by Pershore.
The
second half saw a much more even game, with Pershore finally
making some headway against some strong Tewkesbury tackling.
Their hard work bore fruit with a consolation try towards
the end. This was quickly cancelled out, however, by Tewkesbury’s
third and final try, and they ran out comfortable winners,
three tries to one.
