Pershore were ruthlessly dispatched of when they travelled to Copt Heath to face promotion chasing Silhillians on Saturday. The opening 20 minutes were pretty even with the home side a penalty to the good. However mistakes started to creep in to Pershores game and any inaccurate pass or missed tackle were capitalised on by the home side in ruthless fashion. The score at half time was 24-0, and Pershore really needed to score first in the second half to have any real chance of a comeback, Sils had other ideas as they scored 2 converted tries in quick succession. At this stage Pershore made some changes, bringing on lock Toby Grace for his first game for over a year after recovering from a dislocated ankle. His impact was immediate, spurring the visitors on to score 2 unconverted tries by winger Stefan Ellis, however Pershore faded in the final 10 minutes and conceded a further 2 converted tries to the hosts. The final score of 55-10 mean that Sils move in to the play off spot. Unfortunately for Pershore they drop to bottom as rivals Cheltenham North beat Banbury and have leap frogged the Piddle Park outfit. Pershore are next in league action on Saturday 24th March when they entertain Leamington.
