A big performance from the front row of Brian Bennett, Jamie Melilo and Lee Synnuck, out playing their far bigger opposition, laid the foundations for a successful afternoons play.
On a bitterly cold afternoon, ably assisted by the back row of Alex Pullen, Kris Bassett and skipper Graham Spiers, Pershore managed to dominate proceedings and get the upper hand against their local rivals.
The strong forward play allowed scrum half Ed Polley to feed veteran midfielders Tony Perks and Ben Pullin, who worked the ball well to youngsters Stuart Rock, Ash Nottingham and Tom Rickman out wide, with the latter taking the chances and scoring all of Pershore’s points.
With the points 15-5 at half time, the home team were unable to extend their lead, although a good defensive display by Pershore also kept Stourport out and left the final score the same.
Pershore Socials next scheduled fixture is away at Evesham on 10th February.
