Pershore Socials played a strong Worcester outfit on Saturday and both teams played through the sweltering heat in a magnificent display of grassroots running rugby at Piddle Park.
Although Worcester ran out winners the match was played in great spirit with notable performances from the Andrews father and son combination, Ben and Calum putting in a shift, debutante Chris Huckstep and Roger Sheep playing well and Dave Snell the pick of the home team scorers, rolling back the years with a well taken hat trick.
Pershore look forward to the end of Season “Celebration of Rugby” party next Saturday, with proceedings kicking off at 14.00.
