Pershore socials opened their season with a hastily arranged fixture, having lost their original opponents.
Pershore took the early lead with tries from captain Steve Holmes and Rory
Chapman, with Shipston hitting back with 3 tries of their own. Further Pershore scores from
Lee Synnuck, James Mitchell and Rich Jenkinson gave the home team an interval lead, which they extended
just after the break through Calum Andrews. But the visitors had the better of the latter
stages of the game, eventually running out 25-41 winners.
