The tone was set by the forwards, with some big hits and hard running from Josh Faulkner, Chris Huckstep and Brian Bennett, with veteran second rows Ben Andrews and Marcus Fisher at the heart of all the good work and surviving the 80 minutes fairly unscathed!!
Ronnie Eksteen was his usual dogged self at scrum half feeding an old school midfield pairing on Dave Snell and Rob Haines, pulling the organisational strings for the Piddle Park side. There was plenty of pace on the field too, with youngsters Calum Andrews (2) and debutant Wilf Carrier (4) outstripping the Malvern defence and scoring at will, ably assisted by Callum Crouch, Ted Troughton and Stuart Rock.
Further tries from Snell, Richard Jenkinson, Sev Neraine and Eksteen saw the Pershore outfit home with room to spare, Snell with 5 conversions and Malvern scoring 2 tries of their own either side of half time. Wilf Carrier with a 4 try debut just claiming the man of the match ahead of Andrews the younger.
