The Pershore U7's were at home this week and had 4 games in total against Ledbury. The under sevens were split into two teams with 4 players. There were some significant players missing from the Pershore U7 line up this week; but this gave some of the other players an opportunity to shine.

Pershore RFC welcomed Ledbury RFC minis to Piddle Park for a Sunday morning of rugby with U7, U8 & U9 fixtures there was plenty going on, enjoyed much by all involved.

The under 7s of both clubs split into two teams, giving everyone plenty of game time.

Game 1.
Pershore Blue played Ledbury Green. The first half saw Pershore ahead 6 - 4 with Miles Fletcher-Haynes, and Logan Kempson crossing twice. They were well supported by Amy Oates and William Bishop scoring a try each. The second half started well with another try from William. What looked like being a convincing win for Pershore was squandered as the error count grew and Ledbury took advantage. A late try from Miles was not enough to stop Ledbury coming out the eventual winners 8 - 11.

Game 2.
The first game for Pershore Red was against Ledbury Yellow. The game got underway with a blistering run from Will Kimberlin that resulted in Pershores only try of the half. Fortunately the home sides defence held strong and they managed to also restrict Ledbury to just 1 try. The second half saw two more try's from Will and great support play from Archie Beard. Christian Andrews nearly made it over the line, but a foot into touch prevented it being a try. Ledbury however found their form and finished the game 3 - 5 victors.

Game 3.
The reverse fixtures then saw Pershore Blue fight hard for an 8 - 8 draw against Ledbury Yellow after another error strewn first half leaving them 0 - 3 down. Pershore had a great come-back with a try each from Logan and William, then 3 a piece from Amy and Miles. The last try from Miles sealed the draw in the final play of the game.

Game 4.
Pershore Red were 2 - 1 up at half time against Ledbury Green, but were unable to push the advantage home, eventually going down 3 - 5. Will Kimberlin again scored all the Pershore try's after tremendous support play from Archie and Christian. Will was also extremely active in defence making tag after tag.

Both clubs enjoyed the morning with all games being played in great spirit. For Pershore, Amy Oates won the Best Attacker award, Will Kimberlin winning the Best Defender award, and Archie Beard walked away with the Best Sportsman award.
