Pershore U7s continue to show pace, skills, support play and lots of great potential for the future on another fun Sunday at Piddle Park.

Pershore Minis entertained Upton for this pre-Christmas fixture. Upton under sevens were somewhat depleted this day, but the Pershore Under Sevens showed good sportsmanship, all volunteering to don an Upton shirt and help out. The Christmas spirit was alive and well - Pershore under sevens were happy to share two players.

In the end it was Will Kimbererlin and Carter Adey who donned Upton shirts, lined up and had a good run out with their new found friends.

Christmas took a holiday for the duration of the game and both Will and Carter gave no quarter. By half time it looked as if Pershore had given away all the best presents, as Will scored 2 tries for Upton leaving the visitors 2 – 1 ahead at the break, with the Pershore try coming from Jack Hurn.

Pershore upped their game right from the start of the second half with a quick try from Jack followed by a score after a burst down the wing from William Bishop. In spite of some great tagging from Amy Oats and Logan Kepson, Will Kimberlin scored twice more for Upton with Miles Fletcher-Haynes adding 1 for Pershore, bringing the score level at 4 tries each.

Although the game had proved to be evenly matched, Pershore managed to steal it with a final score. Pershore showed they had all to play for, and in the dying moments of the game when the ball was slipped to Jack Hurn he made a great run, going over the line to score his 3rd, and close out the game at 5 – 4 to Pershore.

Logan showed some great support play, and won the award for sportsmanship, while Jack Hurn won the best attacker.
