With Piddle Park too wet to play on still, Pershore welcomed Malvern RFC to the pitch at the Horticultural College.
Pershore U7 were split into two teams and played a total of five games against their young opponents. All the games were played in good spirit.
Pershore Green started well and just lost out in their first encounter 7 - 8.
In their second lost focus in the second game failing to capitalise after making some good tags. Eventually closing at 4 - 10. Christian, Harry and William all crossed the line and were well supported by Daniel who was awarded the Sportsman Prize for the day.
Pershore Red had a slow start losing out 5 - 9.
The post game encouragement did the trick as they produced their best performance of the day, working well as a team both in defense and attack, recycling the ball well. The 9 - 9 draw did not accurately reflect the game as Pershore Red were undone by a late individual run from Malvern.
The last game continued in the same pattern with Pershore working the ball well. The lead changed hands on almost every possession, sadly Pershore just failed to close the game out when they were one score ahead, losing 11 - 12.
Logan, Jack and Amy all contributed tries with Ryan working hard in support.
The scores mattered little to the young group, who all thoroughly enjoyed their morning and were oblivious of the cold rain that stayed with us throughout.
