Players: Harry, Jack, Marcus, Oliver, Connor and Amy.
Pershore U8's were missing their regular coaches, and several significant players were missing in Scout or Cub duties, but those brave few left were ready to take on a Chaddesley team that were an even match, but came with 7 players, allowing them the relative luxury of an occasional substitution. CCRFC also had some really speedy players that seemed to be able to find a few gaps in the Pershore defense. However, Pershore managed to find gaps too and managed to finish the first game just ahead 8 - 7.
Early on the Pershore games were in danger of becoming the Harry and Jack show but as the games progressed, players started to appreciate the value of teamwork, with all players getting involved in the action and most getting involved in some try scoring at some point.
The second game went Chaddesley's way, finishing 7 - 8. The games were played in the right spirit, and the refereeing was shared out equally between the PRFC and CCRFC coaches.
The whole M&J and Women's Touch team joined together for a 2 minute silence for Remembrance Sunday at 11 am. Some thought that such a silence could not be achieved with such a young group of players together, but I'm proud to be able to say that the full 2 minutes silence was maintained by each and every one.
Thanks to all, and well done!
